The class of new recruits is headed to the Passaic County Police Academy, and will be on duty in Passaic after six months of training, the story said.

These recruits, however, were hired just a month after citizens staged angry protests regarding the conduct of a sergeant who is the head of a special plainclothes unit, the story said. Sgt.
